When the 'ON' is facing up, the clock activates the alarm set, so the LCD screen displays the time and the lower right corner displays the alarm time.  After the alarm sounds, if the clock is turned upside down to the 'OFF' side, the alarm will be turned off. Press and hold the 'SET' button at the back of the clock for 3 seconds to enter the time setting.
